Monday, July 13, 2009

IFN will provide Bezeq with organizational solution for advanced information management.

The system will manage all types of information and will become the central repository where information is stored and retrieved in the organization.

The new system will provide a central solution based on new technological infrastructure, and will replace a number of different, separately-managed systems existing in Bezeq today.

The system, which will be implemented by IFN, includes a number of modules such as: customer file management, customer billing reports and correspondence, permission management, historical documents conversions, automatic business process management, tracking and monitoring and more.

IFN's DriveU system will replace the existing archive in Bezeq that is managed in different systems and infrastructures. DriveU is an innovative solution for content management, in a WEB environment, based on IBM’s FileNet P8 platform which is an infrastructure rich in functionality and capabilities.

IFN's operative archive system will be used by Bezeq's customer service representatives in different call centers, and also by internal users in the headquarter divisions.

"We chose IFN because we believe that they can deliver and help us meet our goals. This belief is based on IFN's response and commitment to deliver the project on time and FileNet's positioning and experience accumulated in implementing this product in large organizations. This project will enable Bezeq to establish an organizational archive infrastructure that at first will replace an existing archive and at a later stage, will utilize all other information systems."  Yaki Zano, Head of Software Development, Information Technology Division, Bezeq.

"IBM FileNet P8 platform, combined with IFN's DriveU solution will manage millions of documents of different types, faxes, emails, with open interfaces to systems designated to optimize processes. The combined solution, which is cutting edge technology, will enable smart storage management." Moshe Yavniel, Deputy CEO, IFN
