IFN expands ECM offerings with IBM's Content Manager OnDemand – 11.08.09

Tuesday, August 11, 2009

Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD), one of IBM's Information Management solutions, is an organizational solution for the archiving and retrieval of computer output such as bills, orders, reports, etc. IFN added Content Manager OnDemand to its ECM portfolio, thus providing customers with a complete solution for organizational content management.

CMOD delivers high-performance, high-volume management of computer output and back office reports, displaying content as digital data that can be easily searched. CMOD supports high volume of information (over 10 Petabytes) on a variety of software platforms. Additional capabilities include capture and archive of scanned documents, checks, and other content sources.

According to IFN, IBM's CMOD, which is implemented in thousands of organizations around the world with hundreds of thousands of users, was recently bought by Bezeq - Israel's Telecommunication Corp, where it will be used mainly for managerial reports.

"Today, many organizations are drowning in information and data originating from computer output. Retrieval and display of information is no longer a privilege but a necessity. These are critical actions needed for fast, educated decision making. CMOD can already be found in leading worldwide organizations such as large financial institutes. Judging from the market demands, it looks like local organizations in Israel are starting to understand the business value CMOD offers. This will surely speed up the number of CMOD implementations locally."

Moshe Yavniel, Deputy CEO, IFN
